Kwinana Freeway / Forrest Highway

 

Overview

We are continuing a project to resurface Kwinana Freeway and Forrest Highway at the following locations:

  • Kwinana Freeway - north of Mandjoogoordap Drive to Pinjarra Road
  • Forrest Highway - Pinjarra Road to 1.6 km south of Pinjarra Road

Works commenced in late-2016 and will continue until April, subject to weather conditions. Line marking will then be undertaken to complete the works.

The following roadworks will be in place to facilitate this project:

  • Speed limit reduced to 40 km/h

 

Project Scope

The project involves:

  • Resurfacing 15 km from north of Mandjoogoordap Drive to south of the Murray River bridge
  • Resurfacing six off-ramps at Mandjoogoordap Drive, Lakes Road and Pinjarra Road

 

Construction Impacts

Lane closures and speed reductions will be in place to ensure the safety of road users and road workers.  Plan ahead and allow extra travel time as delays may be experienced.

An approved noise management plan and noise management measures will be in place during construction.
