Great Northern Highway - Maggie Creek to Wyndham

​Jointly funded by the Australian and State Governments, the project will see Great Northern Highway upgraded between Maggie Creek and Wyndham. The project will provide increased employment opportunities and a more reliable road network for the Kimberley Region.

The Request for Proposal has been issued to three shortlisted Proponents for the design and construct project.

 

Scope of works 

  • Widening and reconstruction works between Maggie Creek and Wyndham
  • Reconstruction and realignment of a section referred to as ‘Maggie’s Jump Up’ 
  • Construction of a passing lane at ‘Maggie’s Jump Up’
  • Construction of floodways and off-road drainage
