Haydn Bunton Bridge - Subiaco

Overview

In December 2016, we completed an upgrade of Haydn Bunton Bridge over the railway line in Subiaco to improve safety and access for pedestrians and road users.

This $1.1 million project was funded by the State Government and included:

  • Reconstructing two footpaths;
  • Installing new guardrails;
  • Upgrading the electrified railway protection screens; and
  • Resurfacing the bridge deck.

Haydn Bunton Bridge is the main thoroughfare for thousands of pedestrians attending events at Domain Stadium, as well as daily pedestrian activity to and from West Leederville Station.

Used by approximately 13,800 vehicles per day, it also provides an important traffic link between Railway Parade and Roberts Road, at the western end of Domain Stadium.
