Shenton Park Station to Loch Street Station - Cycle and Pedestrian Path

A new 1.5km Cycle and Pedestrian path along the Perth-Fremantle train line to link Shenton Park Train Station with Karrakatta and Loch Street stations was completed in December 2015.

This project will complete the Cycle and Pedestrian path network along the Perth-Fremantle line, between Perth and the Grant Street station in Cottesloe.

All construction activity took place within the existing rail and road reserve along Stubbs Terrace.

Due to the local terrain, several retaining structures were constructed to provide path grades that comply with mobility standards.

Funding

This $5 million project was funded by the Department of Transport as part of the Western Australian Bicycle Network (WABN) Plan 2014-2031.
