Bunbury Port Entry Roundabout Upgrade (Estuary Drive)

Main Roads will commence a project to improve safety for road users at Bunbury’s Port Entry Roundabout on Estuary Drive on 8 July 2013.

The majority of the works are being done during the July school holidays to minimise the impact on the community.

Project Scope

The work involves widening the northbound lane of the roundabout to allow two lanes through the roundabout to merge safely into one lane after the roundabout. The left hand lane will also be the turning lane for the Port entry.

The project is expected to take three weeks to complete and involves two stages:

  • Stage One: Off Road Works - slower speed zones (40 km/h) will be in place.
  • Stage Two: On Road Works – removing existing asphalt at the roundabout and placing new asphalt in late July. Road closures are not required, but road users can expect delays (workers will be on the road with Stop-Go traffic management in place).

Main Roads wishes to advise road users and residents that asphalting work on the Port roundabout (Estuary Drive) will take place on Saturday 20th July and Sunday 21st July 2013.  Significant traffic delays will occur during this time, so please seek and use alternative routes.

Please drive safely and slow down through the roadworks area, plan your journey ahead and check any signage on site for directions.  Main Roads sincerely thanks you for your cooperation and patience during the works.
