Brearley Avenue closed

Brearley Avenue, from First Street to Dunreath Drive, was closed from 17 January 2017 to make way for the new Belmont Station being built as part of the Forrestfield-Airport Link project.

The road closure is the next stage of development for the $1.96 billion rail project which, when complete, will connect with the existing Midland line near Bayswater Station and run to Forrestfield via twin-bored tunnels.

Road users can no longer access Perth Airport’s T3 and T4 via Brearley Avenue. As a result:

  • Traffic on Tonkin Highway and Great Eastern Highway eastbound will be directed to the terminals via the recently constructed Dunreath Drive interchange.
  • Westbound traffic on Great Eastern Highway will be directed to T3 and T4 via the upgraded intersection at Fauntleroy Avenue.
  • First Street will remain open for local traffic movements in both directions.

Road users are encouraged to take note of new directional signage along key sections of the road network approaching the airport terminals and to plan their journey in advance to avoid delays.

Visit our Great Eastern Highway Roadworks - Forrestfield Airport Link page for more details on the project.
