The South West regional office records traffic volumes on major highways in the South West at more than half-a-dozen permanent traffic count stations. The results are used to plan for future road construction and improvements.
The busiest roads in the South West are between Perth and Busselton. The traffic count is highest between Rockingham and Mandurah, with an average 30,000 vehicles a day using this section. The number is closer to 10,000 a day on the highway between Mandurah and Bunbury, with another 8000 vehicles a day travelling between Bunbury and Busselton.
Where it is possible, Main Roads WA will provide traffic count information to individuals and organisations. For further information please contact the Customer Services Manager, on 9725 5626 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
