Highway to Hell

Highway to Hell will host the worlds longest stage on Sunday 1 March, with a free family-friendly event rocking its way along Canning Highway.

Various roads will be closed to facilitate this once in a lifetime event:

  • Canning Highway will be closed in both directions between Kwinana Freeway and Queen Victoria Street from 1pm, reopening in stages by 11pm.
  • 110 side roads will be closed between Applecross and Fremantle.
  • Four crossroads remain open for majority of the event – Reynolds Road, Riseley Street, Stock Road and Petra Street. These roads will be closed intermittent to allow performance trucks to travel through safely.
  • Stirling Highway bridge will be periodically closed, to allow performance trucks to travel through safely between 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
  • Access from Kintail Road to Canning Highway will remain open for motorists to access Kwinana Freeway northbound.
  • Fremantle Traffic Bridge (Queen Victoria Street) remains open.

Getting there and around it

If you’re not heading to the event, we suggest avoiding the area and consider using Kwinana Freeway, Leach Highway, South Street and Mounts Bay Road to Stirling Highway.

There are plenty of ways to get to the event. Allow extra travel time as all options will be busy and you don’t want to miss the main act. Find out more event details on the Perth Festival website .
