V8 Supercars - Barbagallo Raceway
22 November 2009
Delays can be expected this Sunday at Wanneroo Road between Ocean Reef Road and Nowergup Road, particularly between 3.00 pm and 6.00 pm as people leave the Barbagallo Raceway.
We would like to advise motorists that ‘The Great Bike Ride’, from Perth to Fremantle and return, will be held this Sunday from 4.30 am.
The bike ride will start and finish at Langley Park on the CBD foreshore and as a result the following road closures will be in place:
5.00 am to 11.30 am
- Kwinana Freeway northbound: left lane closed from Canning Highway to Narrows Bridge
- Kwinana Freeway northbound: Mill Point Road off-ramp
- Mill Point Road: on-ramp city bound
4.30 am to 11.00 am
- Barrack Street: Southbound only from Esplanade to Riverside Drive
- Riverside Drive: Westbound between Barrack Street and Mounts Bay Road
- Mounts Bay Road: westbound from the Narrows Bridge to Hackett drive
4.30 am to 12.00 pm (noon)
- Causeway: left lane (city bound)
- Canning Highway: left lane closed from Way Road to Causeway
4.30 am to 1.00 pm
- Riverside Drive: both directions from Causeway to Barrack Street
Traffic Management will be in place and speed restrictions will apply along the route.
Bicycles will be using the left hand lane which will be separated by cones allowing vehicles to use the remaining lanes. The event is expected to be completed by 11.30 am.

Barrack Street Bridge
Intersection modification - Barrack/Wellington Street
Works carried out 22 to 27 November
Works will be carried out on the Barrack Street Bridge from this Sunday 22 November.
Due to the upcoming closure of the Horseshoe Bridge (for critical structural works), the Barrack Street Bridge will be converted to provide two lanes southbound and two lanes northbound.
This will be done by:
- Relocating a median island
- Reversing the direction of traffic flow in the middle lane; and
- Modifying signals and associated signage and line marking.
Road users are asked to obey all signs and directional arrows and proceed with caution. Works are expected to be completed by Friday 27 November.
1. Inside lane direction changed to become southbound with right turn only into Wellington Street.
2. Right hand lane to be right turn only - can not go straight from this lane.
3. Left lane will allow through traffic. Can go straight or turn left.
4. Centre lane changed to through traffic only. Left hand turn prohibited from centre lane.
ADVANCED NOTICE
Horseshoe Bridge Closure
30 November 2009 to April 2010
The bridge will be closed to all traffic, except Transperth buses, to enable a major upgrade involving reconstruction of the concrete deck of the bridge and improvements to the road surface.

Armadale Road
Abbey Road (Armadale) to Forrest Road (Forrestdale) - Westbound
20 November to 4 December
9.00 am to 3.00 pm
Pruning works will be carried out in the median strip. Lane closures will be in place. Motorists are advised to approach with caution.
Ennis Avenue off ramp to Safety Bay Road
9 to 27 November
Guard rail removal and replacement works will be carried out. Partial closure of the off-ramp will be in place with speed restrictions of 40 km/h. Delays may be experienced.

Mounts Bay Road / Old Swan Brewery
Ongoing until 31 March 2010
9.00 am to 3.30 pm
Works will be carried out to reconstruct the river wall between the Old Swan Brewery and the car park near Mounts Bay Road. Delays can be expected.
Royal Street Bridge
7 September to 30 November
Refurbishment works will be carried on the bridge over the Canning River. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and seek alternative routes during this time.
Thomas Road
Nicholson Road intersection
The Town of Kwinana is undertaking road works within the Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale on our behalf, as part of the implementation of the High Wide Load Corridor from Kwinana to Kewdale. Traffic delays may be experienced.
