This year's Australia Day Skyworks event, will once again be held on and around the iconic Swan River.

The City of Perth have planned a number of activities for the day, some of which will require the closure of main roads. 

Road closures

The following main roads will be CLOSED for the Perth Skyworks event.

6.00 am to Midnight

• Mill Point Road EXIT from Kwinana Freeway northbound

12 noon until Midnight

• Riverside Drive / Mounts Bay Road EXIT from Mitchell Freeway southbound
• Riverside Drive ENTRY to Mitchell Freeway northbound
• Mounts Bay Road ENTRY to Kwinana Freeway southbound
• Riverside Drive ENTRY to Kwinana Freeway southbound
• Riverside Drive - William Street to Mounts Bay Road (Point Lewis Rotary)

Please note: Narrows Bridge will have a reduced speed limit of 60 km/h in place from noon to midnight.

3.00 pm to Midnight

• Mill Point Road EXIT from Kwinana Freeway (southbound)

 The City of Perth have provided a map which includes ALL road closures for the event, along with available parking areas, designated picnic areas, concert stages, toilets and more.  

Pedestrians should also be aware that some paths in the area will be closed and diverted during the event. All the information you will need can be found on the City of Perth website.

City of Armadale Australia Day Celebrations

To facilitate the City of Armadale's annual Australia Day celebrations and fireworks on Minnawarra Park the following road closures will be in place:

• Armadale Road: Streich Avenue to Hughes Road - 4.00 pm to 10.00 pm
• Jull Street (one way): Orchard Avenue to Church Avenue - 4.00 pm to 10.00 pm
• Orchard Avenue: Armadale Road to Jull Street - 2.00 pm to 10.00 pm
• Church Avenue: Armadale Road to Jull Street - 4.00 pm to 10.00 pm
