Advisory Group

Traffic Management For Events - Code of Practice

The Traffic Management for Events - Code of Practice March 2011 (94 pages PDF 1.82 MB) has been developed to promote safe and consistent traffic management for events on roads in accordance with legal obligations and appropriate standards.  It also outlines the training and accreditation requirements for persons responsible for designing traffic management schemes, or controlling traffic and/or people at events.

All organisations and individuals associated with event management on or near roads are encouraged to become familiar with the requirements of this document and to apply them with due consideration to all social, environmental, operational and legal implications.
