It is your responsibility to ensure you are aware of any changes to the network via HVO Updates.

What permits are available for special purpose vehicles like cranes, drill rigs and concrete pumping trucks?

An application process is in place for the majority of special purpose vehicles (see steps 1 and 2 below).

Operator completes a check weigh request form (EXCEL 103 KB) (DOC 240 KB)
HVO assesses each request individually and if successful, issues a permit.

However, if you have a four axle truck mounted crane, you can apply for a Class 1 Restricted Access Vehicle Special Purpose Vehicle Period Permit. Please review the operating conditions for these types of vehicles and apply for permit if required.
