CONTINUATION OF BRIDGE WORKS –
GREAT NORTHERN HIGHWAY
CROSSING JANE BROOK IN CAVERSHAM

Main Roads Western Australia advises that works are continuing on Great Northern Highway, Caversham at bridge #671 crossing Jane Brook.

During the works, the road is restricted to one lane of operation northbound with a carriageway laterally shifted southbound.

PERIOD

Works commenced on 6 July 2009, and the works are continuing to the end of October.

Delays are to be expected and road users should consider alternative routes where possible.

CONDITIONS

The available lane width during these works is 3.8 metres in each direction, with trafficable bollards separating the two directions of travel.

During the works period, the escorts of oversize loads wider than 3.8 metres are required to stop the oncoming traffic in advance of the Jane Brook bridge, to allow the oversize load to travel over the trafficable bollards.
