Changes to the:
Class 1 Oversize Period Permit,
Class 1 Overmass Period Permit, and
Class 2 / 3 Period Permit
In an effort to reduce the number of heavy freight vehicles using Albany Highway in Kelmscott, Main Roads has made a number of changes to the Restricted Access Vehicle (RAV) network. The following roads have been designated “Local Access Only”.
Albany Highway, between Brookton Highway and Tonkin Highway, with the following conditions.
May be used if delivering or picking up goods from an address on that section of road, or an address on a permitted / approved road in the Armadale industrial area. The driver must carry documentation as proof of the local delivery or pick up.
May be used as a through route for access to or from Brookton Highway, or Albany Highway south of the Armadale Road / Albany Highway intersection.
South Western Highway, between Armadale Road / Albany Highway intersection and Thomas Road, with the following conditions.
May be used if delivering or picking up goods from an address on that section of road, or an address on a permitted / approved road in the Armadale industrial area. The driver must carry documentation as proof of the local delivery or pick up.
May be used as a through route for access to or from Brookton Highway, or Albany Highway south of the Albany Highway / Armadale Road intersection.
Thomas Road, between South Western Highway and Tonkin Highway, with the following conditions.
May be used if delivering or picking up goods from an address on that section of road, or an address on a permitted / approved road in the Armadale industrial area. The driver must carry documentation as proof of the local delivery or pick up.
May be used as a through route for access to or from South Western Highway south of Thomas Road.
The Class 2 / 3 Period Permit Road Tables and the Class 1 Operating Conditions have been amended accordingly.
