TEMPORARY CLOSURES OF GREAT NORTHERN HWY, SOUTH OF MEEKATHARRA

Further to HVO Update 2-2008, Main Roads Western Australia advises that Mercator Gold Operations – Bluebird Mine Site-Quarry will be continuing blasting works 15 km south of Meekatharra. This will result in Great Northern Highway being temporarily closed at times during the day for a period of approximately 2 months

During the blasting works all traffic will be stopped for a short duration by traffic management onsite.

PERIOD
Completion of works is anticipated by 1 December 2008.

Between 12pm – 1pm & 4pm – 5pm, 2-3 times per week.

CONDITIONS
Traffic management will be in place.

A speed limit of 60 km/h will apply within the works area.
