CLASS 2/3 RESTRICTED ACCESS VEHICLE (RAV) PERIOD PERMIT

CHANGES TO OPERATING CONDITIONS

In March 2008, Main Roads wrote to transport operators to advise of proposed changes to certain RAV operating conditions relating to axle spacings and load height.

Main Roads is currently in consultation with Industry stakeholders to jointly develop an implementation strategy that will minimise the impact of these changes.  For this reason Main Roads is deferring the introduction dates of these changes.

The load height restrictions due to be implemented on 3 June 2008 and the axle spacing requirements due to come into effect on 1 October 2008 will both be deferred until further notice.
