BROOME HIGHWAY REALIGNMENT
(BROOME ROAD – PORT DRIVE)
NEW ROAD TRAIN ROUTE

The roadworks for Stage 2 of this project are currently underway and will be completed by Sunday 16 December 2007.

The construction has included the upgrade of intersections along Gubinge Road, which also includes the modification of the existing roundabouts at Cable Beach Road West and East to cater for Triple Road Trains.

The Road Train route will now follow the new alignment connecting Broome Road to Port Drive.

The current route along Hamersley Street, Frederick Street and Port Drive will be closed to Road Trains as of Sunday 16 December 2007.
