RELEASE OF HEAVY HAULAGE ROUTE MAPS
FOR SINGLE TRIP PERMITS

In consultation with industry and stakeholders, Main Roads has developed a series of comprehensive heavy haulage route maps.

The maps provide a pictorial representation of major heavy haulage routes and are designed primarily to assist single trip permit operators to better plan their journey.

Apart from the main heavy haulage routes that many operators would already be familiar with, a number of routes have been added, such as Sandstone Road from Mt Magnet to Leinster.

Operators seeking single trip permits are requested to include reference to the new route numbers when completing applications and are reminded to ensure that any connecting roads are also specified.

It is intended to provide copies of the maps to all known operators that regularly apply for single trip permits, however, copies will also be available on the Main roads" website (www.mainroads.wa.gov.au) under Heavy Vehicles/Permits/Specified Journey (Single Trip) Permits

If operators do not have access to the Internet, copies will also be available on request from the Heavy Vehicle Operations office in Welshpool or by contacting the Help Desk on 9311 8450.
