RESCINDING OF THE 1999 ROAD TRAIN GAZETTAL

Industry is advised that the Road Trains (Roads and Routes) Notice 1999, known as the RTN 1999 Gazettal, has been rescinded.

This amendment was gazetted on Friday 30 June 2006, in the Western Australian Government Gazette Number 109, with immediate effect.

This change has been made in recognition of the 1999 gazettal having been drafted under the now superseded Road Traffic (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1977.  These were replaced by the Road Traffic (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 2002, dating the RTN 1999. 

The limited routes which the 1999 gazettal provided are already available through current permits. 

The timing of this change also coincides with the release of the Class 2 and 3 Restricted Access Vehicle Period Permit (refer HVO Update 39-2006).
