This edition of the Distance Book (version 10) provides information on distances to towns and localities. It also shows the route numbering system and travel times.
* Please note: All distances to towns are displayed as the shortest distance using the ‘Green Routes’. Any works carried out after 2006, which affect these ‘Green Routes’(i.e. Kwinana Freeway extension or Forrest Highway), are not incorporated into the calculated distances. ‘Green Routes’ are regarded as the safest path with the highest travel speeds.
- Additional information on the registered public weighbridges, bridges with mass restrictions, overhead bridge heights and focal point markers is also included.
- The straight line diagrams and route maps, if followed, provide effective routes but not necessarily the shortest distances to towns and localities in Western Australia. Refer to individual distances between towns and localities when calculating routes.
- Length variations may occur from time to time due to road deviations, relocations, construction works etc.
- Information on some local and interstate roads have been obtained from sources outside of Main Roads and are published as a guide only.
