Background

The development and implementation of the next generation of maintenance delivery must be aligned with and supportive of our strategic objectives and goals, as well as other relevant strategies and initiatives. 

The approach to road maintenance delivery also needs to take account of the changes, constraints, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the current and projected environment in which the delivery will take place.

Our ten year vision is one in which we are a leader in Road Network Management, moving towards whole-of-life-cycle management of the road asset, while dealing with challenges such as aging assets and budgetary constraints.

There is also increased emphasis in network operations to ensure that greater efficiency is achieved from the existing road network - addressing freight, safety, congestion and other community concerns.
