Applying for Access to a Highway or Main Road

The application

• Apply for an Access Point using the Application for Access Point Form (1 page DOC 214 KB).

• For existing access points which are currently disused, update the intended use information with the Application for Access Point Form (1 page DOC 214 KB).

• Access to the road may require work to upgrade the location for the intended use. More information can be obtained from the following links:

• Provide a detailed proposal, including drawings and engineering standards if applicable.

• Advice and assistance can be obtained from the Planning and Asset Manager during the application and consultation process.

Working in the road reserve

Work on your access point which will be conducted within the road reserve requires:-

• Permission to work within the road reserve;

• A Traffic Management Plan
