Our Graduate Development Program is specifically designed to provide graduates with a chance to gain diverse experience through rotations across various branches of Main Roads.

We cater for various stages of study including;

 

Cadetships and Scholarships

Engineering Associate Cadetship

Designed for TAFE students completing an Advanced Diploma in Drafting & Design

Engineering Cadetship

For current university students who have completed one or more years of their Bachelor of Engineering degree.

Scholarship Program

For year 12 students aspiring to complete a Bachelor of Engineering degree.

University and TAFE Students

Engineering Associate Program

Designed for students who have completed an Advanced Diploma of Drafting and Design (Civil/Structural Engineering) at TAFE.

Please note: The Engineering Associate Program is now a 3–year program, allowing you more time to build on your practical experience.

Engineering Graduate Program

Designed for graduates who have completed a Bachelor of Engineering degree

Technical Graduate Program

Designed for graduates who have completed a Bachelor Degree in Environmental Science, Spatial Science and Surveying.

Commerce and Business Graduate Program

Designed for graduates who have completed their Bachelor of Commerce/Business degree. This includes; Human Resources, Economics, Occupational Safety and Health, Accounting, Information Technology (IT), Law, Marketing and Finance.

Traineeships

Technical Traineeship Program

This program is tailored for ambitious individuals under 25, who want a career in the road construction industry. Trainees who complete this program will gain a Certificate III in Civil Construction.

Clerical Traineeship Program

This program is tailored for ambitious individuals under 25, who will pick up skills in areas such as business administration and customer service, plus gain a nationally recognised qualification.
