Discovery Road

At approximately 5.7 kilometres, Discovery Road is one of the longest local roads along the project alignment.  Its opening marks a pivotal moment for the local road network around the new BORR alignment and will be welcomed by residents and visitors to the area.

Discovery Road—which in essence is a realignment of Waterloo Road—forms part of the final BORR network and will provide an alternative north-south connection in Waterloo.

While it is now open for public use, there are still some final touches to be completed and these require ongoing traffic management and intermittent lane closures over the next few months. Additionally, there will be intermittent traffic management at the Waterloo Road and Discovery Road roundabout.

These measures will be in place until December 2024.
